In October 2017, after working for a year and a half as a Senior Video Editor,  I was offered the position of Video Production Manager in the video department of Deutsche Bank in London.

The internal video production team consists of 5 members; 3 editors and a producer with the possibility of collaborating with external freelancers for certain projects. The mission of this department is to provide audiovisual support to the bank in London, being one of the 5 video departments that the company has around the world. After the video department in Frankfurt, the one in London is the one that carries out the most projects and the one with the largest infrastructure.

The average number of video projects carried out annually in the department is around 200, and the format can vary from recording pieces to camera, interviews, covering events, making promotional videos or developing animations.

My main task is to lead the production team and get the most out of the internal resources we have, while delivering quality projects on time and on budget.

Since I began working as the department manager, things have changed a lot. Where as before the team used to only take on the role of editing and post-production, now we are also involved in filming the content as well.

The result was a significant increase in savings from the use of external services and total versatility in the team, being able to offer out many more internal services to the bank than were previously available. In addition to this, we are now able to have more control over the different aspects of the production pipeline.

The year after my promotion as head of the DB video department in London, I was offered to extend my management role to the New York team, so since 2018 I have also managed and coordinated the team there.

The main task here was to ensure that the New York team was brought up to speed with the way we do things in London to help streamline delivery between the two locations.

In 2022, Kinly extended the management of the services to other regions. As part of this, the video production team at Singapore was added to my team, meaning that two more members were added under my management.
